Key points of the RARe governance

RARe is made up of five pillars corresponding to the fields of application of biological resources: Animal, Environment, Forest, Micro-organism, Plant.

 RARe is steered by a Committee of Trustees, which decides on the general organization, scientific and technical strategy, and validation of the membership of new biological resource centers (BRCs).

 RARe is supported by an International Scientific Council, which provides advice and opinions on the activities, orientations, visibility and impact of the infrastructure.

 RARe is led by a Steering Committee, which translates the multi-year roadmap into an action plan, coordinates implementation of the action plan, ensures scientific monitoring of projects, and reports to the Trustees Committee.

 RARe is managed by a Coordination Unit, which coordinates the formalization of operational objectives and the deployment of the annual action plan, evaluates opportunities for action, collects information for activity reports, promotes cross-functional projects, and ensures the operational and administrative follow-up of RARe.

 RARe relies on seven Working Groups (APA, COM, ECO, EDU, RSE, SI, MQ), which implement and monitor the objectives of the RARe action plan in their respective areas, and act as the point of contact for RARe member CRBs on issues relating to their areas. They report back to the Steering Committee on requests and proposals from the CRBs.
