Creation of the European research infrastructure MIRRI-ERIC

Published on 13 July 2022 in the Official Journal of the European Union, the Commission's decision to create the MIRRI European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC), dedicated to microbial resources (https://dev.mirri.org/).

MIRRI-ERIC aims to promote visibility and access to more than 400,000 fully characterised microbial isolates (bacteria, algae, yeast, fungi) and microbiota held in 50 partner Microbiological Resource Centres (mMRCs).

In addition to access to microbiological resources, MIRRI provides researchers and companies in the field of microbiology and biotechnology with a range of technological and scientific services that accelerate the process of knowledge acquisition and technological development.  

AgroBRC-RARe is actively involved in MIRRI through the microbial pillar.
