Forest pillar certification

The Forest Pillar of the AgroBRC RARe research infrastructure is a multi-site Forest Biological Resource Centre. It has been certified ISO 9001:2015 since the end of 2021, for the field of application: "Collecting, conserving, characterising by genotyping and distributing forest biological resources with their associated data".

The Forest Pillar of the AgroBRC RARe research infrastructure (Agronomic Resources for Research) is a Forest Biological Resource Centre (FBR) distributed over 3 operational sites (Orléans, Pierroton and Avignon) and 2 sites providing support activities for its operation (Versailles and Nancy). It groups together forest biological resources, such as collections of seeds, pollen and individuals, genomic resources and samples of leaves, needles or wood. These resources are managed scientifically by 3 (Joint) Research Units of the ECODIV department of the INRAE Institute and technically by 3 Experimental Units of the same department. The mission of the BRC is to provide the national and international scientific communities with a research-oriented FBR and associated phenotypic and genotypic data.

The quality management system of the Forestry Pillar has been certified ISO 9001:2015 since November 2021, for the field of application: "Collecting, conserving, characterising by genotyping and distributing forest biological resources with their associated data". This approach has made it possible to structure the operation of the Forest Pillar, created in 2017, and to allow each actor (process pilot and co-pilot, resource custodian scientists, field agents, etc.) to find their place in it. It provides a cross-functional dynamic for the units involved, encouraging the sharing of professional experiences and helping to initiate or continue the continuous improvement processes of the constituent units.
