IBiSA

A new IBiSA directory to identify accredited BRCs and their resources

Microorganisms, plants, forests, animals, environment... Find the biological resource centers (BRC) of the RARe pillars, labeled IBiSA, in a new directory. The structures can be identified by keywords, themes, supervisors and regions. The directory will be progressively enriched until it represents all 84 BRCs and networks of IBiSA BRCs.

Quality, a requirement for BRC labelling

During the calls for projects, GIS IBiSA makes sure that the candidate BRCs and networks of BRCs are certified or engaged in a quality certification process. This essential criterion is included in the IBiSA BRC Charter.

Organizing life sciences infrastructures

The IBiSA Scientific Interest Group (GIS) carries out a selective national policy of accreditation and support for biology, health and agronomy platforms and biological resource centers (BRCs). It promotes the organization and pooling of resources and measurement means necessary for research in life sciences.

The GIS advises and supports platforms and BRCs in their technological and methodological development projects. It facilitates the creation of local steering structures, at the level of a city or a region, helps coordinate high-tech developments and accompanies the quality process.

IBiSA's support is conditional on a broad opening to the scientific community. The accredited structures are committed to making their resources and expertise available to outside teams to advance research.
